The Wallet
DNA Connect has a wallet built in. It holds DNAC — the coin of DNA Chain — and gives you addresses on several other blockchains, all protected by the same 24-word Recovery Phrase as your identity.
DNA Chain currently runs as a development network. DNAC coins on it have no real-world value yet, and the network may be reset while development continues. See the DNA Chain FAQ.
DNAC — sending and receiving
Sending DNAC works like sending a message: pick a contact from your list (or paste their recipient ID), enter the amount, and send. The app shows the network fee and the total before you confirm. You can review everything you've sent and received in the history view.
For the other chains, the address book lets you save addresses you use often, so you never have to retype long strings.
One phrase, many chains
From your single Recovery Phrase, the wallet derives addresses on multiple networks: DNA Chain, Cellframe, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and BNB Smart Chain. There is nothing to "link" and no extra accounts to make — the same 24 words restore all of them, on any device.
Your Recovery Phrase protects your money, not just your messages. Anyone with the 24 words controls the wallet. Read Your Recovery Phrase — then read it again.
Tipping on the Wall
Like a post on the Wall? You can tip the author in CPUNK directly from the post — a small thank-you that goes straight to them, with no middleman taking a cut. See The Wall for how tips work.
Fees
Transactions on DNA Chain carry a network fee (a small minimum that can rise when the network is busy), which the app shows you before you send. Fees are burned — destroyed to keep the network healthy, not collected by any company or validator.
Common questions
Where are my coins actually stored?
On the blockchain — not in the app, not on a company server. The wallet holds the keys that control your coins, and those keys come from your Recovery Phrase. That is why the phrase can restore your wallet anywhere.
Can CPUNK freeze or take my funds?
No. Only your keys can move your coins, and only you have your keys. The flip side: if you lose your device and your Recovery Phrase, nobody can get your wallet back for you.
I sent DNAC but the balance looks wrong?
Give it a moment and refresh — balances update as the network confirms your transaction. Remember the chain is a development network today, so occasional rough edges are expected.
